PNC Infratech rises 5%; completes BOT project ahead of schedule

    Moneycontrol BureauShares of PNC Infratech rose 5 percent intraday Wednesday as it completed the Raebareli-Jaunpur project ahead of schedule.PNC Raebareli Highways, a wholly owned subsidiary of PNC Infratech, has successfully commissioned two-laning Raebareli-Jaunpur project more than 3 months ahead of schedule.The project had been awarded to the company in the state of Uttar Pradesh under NHDP IV on BOT (annuity) basis.The total project cost was Rs 837.40 crore and the concession period is 17 years from the appointed date including construction period of 2 years.PNC received the completion certificate on March 22, 2016."On achieving the commercial operations date (COD), PNC becomes entitled to receive semi annual (half yearly) annuity of Rs 64.3 crore each during the remaining 15 years of the concession period, including proportionate amount of bonus annuity for early completion in terms of the concession agreement," as per BSE release.At 11:58 hrs PNC Infratech was quoting at Rs 506, up Rs 20.70, or 4.27 percent on the BSE.Posted by Rakesh Patil
