Jain Irrigation Systems shares surged 6 percent intraday Monday on bagging water supply project from the government under AMRUT scheme.
".....has secured an order worth Rs 284.43 crore under AMRUT scheme - Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation," said the provider of end-to-end solutions of PVC / PE piping systems.
The company has bagged order for two projects under this scheme - one is Bijapur project worth Rs 201.83 crore and other is Bagalkot worth Rs 82.6 crore. Projects' design and execution will take place in 24-36 months and operation & maintenance period will be 60 months.
Jain Irrigation has already commissioned 24x7 water supply projects in Haliyal town in Karnataka. It is in final stage of commissioning of Gokak and Nippani in Karnataka and is currently working at Balaghat water supply scheme in Madhya Pradesh.
