HDFC AMC MD & CEO Navneet Munot's term has been extended by another five years, the company said in an exchange filing on June 7. This extension, will be in effect from July 1, 2024 upto June 30, 2029, "subject to
the approval of the shareholders of the Company at the ensuing Annual General Meeting", said the company in a stock exchange filing.
Munot has over three decades of experience. He joined HDFC AMC as MD and CEO in February 2021. The mutual fund veteran was previously associated with SBI Funds Management Private Limited as an Executive Director and Chief Investment Officer. Prior to that, he has held positions with Morgan Stanley Investment Management He had also worked with Morgan Stanley Investment Management as an Executive Director and head of multi-strategy boutique and Birla Growth Fund.

He has also held the position of chairman, Association of Mutual Funds (AMFI) since 2023. He has a masters degree in Accountancy and Business
Statistics and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
HDFC AMC reported a quarterly Average Assets Under Management (QAAUM) of Rs 6.12 lakh crore as of March 2024 with over 100 funds across debt and equity. As of 10:30 am on June 6, shares of HDFC AMC were trading at Rs 3,780.35 apiece, around 0.53 percent higher.
