Shares of Godfrey Phillips rallied more than 3 percent intraday on Friday after the CNBC-TV18 reported quoting sources that the company launched Marlboro black mint cigarette.
The Black Mint's 10-cigarette pack rate is fixed at Rs 75.
Godfrey Phillips India, the flagship company of the diversified KK Modi Group, manufactures cigarette brands in the country like FS1, Four Square, Red and White, Cavanders, Tipper and North Pole.
Additionally, Godfrey Phillips India also manufactures and distributes iconic brand Marlboro under a license agreement with Philip Morris.
The stock closed at Rs 3,578.30, up 2.67 percent on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
