Dalmia Bharat up 8% post stake hike to 74.6% in OCL India

The company also stated that post the stake buy, the group's regional capacity mix stands at 48 percent in South and 52 percent in East and North-East. Dalmia Cement has ongoing Greenfield projects which along with acquired capacities will take the group capacity to around 24 milion tonnes in FY16.

    Shares of Dalmia Bharat jumped 8 percent intraday on Wednesday after it has increased stake to 74.6 percent from 48 percent in OCL India. OCL is one of the largest cement entities in Eastern India with plants in Orissa and West Bengal.

    “The company’s subsidiary Company, Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited on February 25, 2015 has increased its stake in OCL India Limited from 48 percent to 74.6 percent through inter-se transfer within the promoter group of OCL India Limited,” Dalmia Bharat said in a statement.

    The company also stated that post the stake buy, the group's regional capacity mix stands at 48 percent in South and 52 percent in East and North-East. Dalmia Cement has ongoing Greenfield projects which along with acquired capacities will take the group capacity to around 24 milion tonnes in FY16.

    At 14:10 hrs Dalmia Bharat was at Rs 473.95, up Rs 11.10, or 2.40 percent while OCL India was at Rs 548.25, down Rs 41.75, or 7.08 percent on the BSE.
