Pronto raises $2 million from Bain Capital as investors continue to bet on q-commerce

The company’s seed round comes shortly after Snabbit, a direct rival, secured $5.5 million in its Series A round from Elevation Capital, Nexus Venture Partners and others

Pronto, a startup that lets users book cleaning, laundry, and home services within 10 minutes, has raised $2 million from Bain Capital at a valuation of $12.5 million as investors continue to plunge money into quick commerce companies in India.

The company’s seed round comes shortly after Snabbit, a direct rival, secured $5.5 million in its Series A round from Elevation Capital, Nexus Venture Partners and others.

Both Pronto and Snabbit, which let users book home services like utensils cleaning, clothes washing, mopping, and promise to assign a professional in 10-minutes have taken off after the rapid rise of companies like Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart and others.

Pronto and Snabbit both compete with IPO-bound Urban Company and dabble in the home services space. Users have often criticised such services and question the need for such offerings, especially because it revolves around household chores.

“Building in a tough, often misunderstood space isn't easy. But we’ve stayed focused on what matters—earning trust, delivering value, and scaling responsibly. Grateful for Bain Capital Ventures' belief in our mission to transform domestic work in India,” Anjali Sardana, founder and CEO, Pronto said on LinkedIn.

Sardana, a BS Biology passout of 2024, was earlier an investor at Bain Capital and 8VC as per her LinkedIn.

“We are on a mission to create two million jobs in two years. We’re growing hyper fast and scaling our team rapidly to meet demand,” Sardana added.

The money will be used to increase the team size, launch in newer cities and grow operations.
Several new-age companies have been building on the guardrails of quick commerce and rapid delivery since 2021 when companies like Dunzo, Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart and BigBasket were taking off.

While Pronto and Snabbit are dabbling in the rapid service space, companies like Slikk are building in the quick fashion market.
