Electric vehicle firm Ola Electric has expanded its motorcycle lineup with the launch of the Roadster X and Roadster X+ electric motorcycles on February 5.

The Roadster X is available in 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh variants, while the Roadster X+ comes with 4.5 kWh and 9.1 kWh battery packs.

Prices for the Roadster X start at Rs 89,999 for the base model, going up to Rs 1,09,999 for the top variant. The Roadster X+ is priced at Rs 1,19,999 for the 4.5 kWh model and Rs 1,69,999 for the 9.1 kWh version. As an introductory offer, Ola is providing a ₹15,000 discount on all models. The Roadster series comes with a standard warranty of 3 years/50,000 km.

Announcing the launch, Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and MD of Ola Electric, said, "The new motorcycles come with a fresh design and are built for safety, better range, and better power."

The Roadster X has a top speed of 105 km/h (for 2.5kWh), and 118 km/h (for 3.5kWh and 4.5kWh). The motorcycles (2.5kWh, 3.5kWh and 4.5kWh) has a range of 140 km, 196 km and 252 km (IDC) respectively. The Roadster X+ (4.5kWh and 9.1kWh) comes with a range of 252 km (IDC) and 501 km (IDC) respectively and features Sports, Normal, and Eco riding modes.

“Motorcycles are at the heart of India’s mobility landscape. With our electric motorcycles, we’re driving the EV revolution deeper into the core of Indian mobility. After transforming the scooter market and making EVs mainstream, our futuristic Roadster series of motorcycles is here to accelerate the EV adoption further and make electric the first choice for every rider in India," Aggarwal added.

The Roadster series was first unveiled globally in 2024 alongside other models in Ola’s motorcycle lineup. The series consists of three variants—the entry-level Roadster X, the mid-range Roadster, and the top-tier Roadster Pro. Orders for the newly launched models open today, with deliveries set to begin in mid-March.

The announcement comes just days after Ola Electric introduced its Gen 3 Scooters as part of its expansion strategy. Built on its homegrown Gen 3 platform, the new S1 Gen 3 series starts at Rs 79,999 for the S1 X (2 kWh) and goes up to Rs 1,69,999 for the flagship S1 Pro+ (5.3 kWh) model.
