Mid-market focused private equity firm Gaja Capital is likely to invest USD 20 million in Kangaroo Kids Education Limited (KKEL), sources privy to the development told Moneycontrol.

The PE firm has invested in multiple education ventures in the past that includes Eurokids, Educomp, and Career Launcher among others.

Gaja

Founded in 1993 by Lina Ashar, KKEL is a provider of premium pre-school education to more than 9,000 students across 79 schools in 20 cities in India, Dubai and Maldives. The company also runs premium K12 chain of schools under the brand Billabong High.

Gaja Capital’s non-education portfolio includes Carnation, RBL Bank, TeamLease and Bakers Circle.
