Expect 2018 to be a volatile year: Kotak Mutual Fund

In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Anshul Saigal of Kotak Mutual Fund spoke about his reading of the market and his outlook.

Last year was a year where all asset classes moved up and on a very low volatility. This will be a year, 2018, which will be very different from that. You will see volatility and you will have to be a good stock picker to make money in this year, he said.

One has to be much more choosy in this year, will have to do much more diligence on stocks and then go out and invest, he added.

Stocks and pockets which did not do too well last year, will be the ones to look out for in this year, said Saigal.

We are investing money in those bets where we think people will make money in this year, he further mentioned.
