Equity diversified NAVs ended lower with advance:decline ratio of 83:167 as Indian benchmarks retreated on Wednesday, dragged down by oil & gas, technology, capital goods, FMCG and cement companies' shares along with HDFC, HDFC Bank, SBI and NTPC.
The 50-share NSE Nifty closed at 5,691.05, with a loss of 33 points or 0.58%. The 30-share BSE Sensex ended at 18,978.32, down 113.73 points or 0.6%. On sectoral front, technology funds declined while banking & FMCG funds advanced. Pharma funds ended mixed. However, long and short term debt funds closed with positive returns; their advance:decline ratio stood at 50:29 & 84:27, respectively.- Equity diversified NAVs end lower
