Tata Elxsi, a global design and technology services company, has launched a global technology center for medical devices from Bayer in Radiology. This center, named 'Bayer Development Centre in Radiology,' is located at Tata Elxsi, Pune, India.
The center is designed to co-develop advanced radiology devices and technology with Bayer, focusing on early and accurate diagnosis and treatment of critical illnesses. It aims to support Bayer's mission to provide innovative, safe, and compliant solutions to patients and clinical staff globally.
The facility will offer a range of engineering services for complex radiology devices, initially focusing on Molecular Imaging. Its integrated approach, combining design, development, and validation, is expected to accelerate time-to-market, enhance cost efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Dr. Konstanze Diefenbach, Head of Research & Development, Radiology, Bayer, stated that the center provides direct access to specialized engineering capabilities through Tata Elxsi, enabling the acceleration of the pipeline of advanced radiology devices while maintaining quality and reliability.
Sreevatsa Sahasranaman, Sr. Vice President & Head - Healthcare & Life Sciences, Tata Elxsi, mentioned that the center combines Bayer's radiology vision with Tata Elxsi's design, AI/ML, and regulatory expertise, translating ideas into devices that address real-world diagnostic challenges with safety, compliance, and global scalability.
