Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) announced that it has commissioned an aggregate 408.1 MW of power projects at Khavda, Gujarat, through its step-down subsidiaries. The plants -- covering solar, wind, and hybrid generation -- were declared operational on September 30, 2025, at 8:29 a.m., after receiving the required clearances.
The newly added green energy generation capacity comprises a solar project of 87.5 MW, a wind project of 124.8 MW, and a series of hybrid projects with individual capacities of 5.4 MW, 27.3 MW, 38.1 MW, and 125 MW. With these additions, Adani Green Energy's total operational renewable energy generation capacity has risen to 16,486.1 MW.
Headquartered in Ahmedabad, Adani Green is majority-owned by the Adani Group and minority-owned by TotalEnergies. The company employs over 1,200 people and operates landmark assets such as the Kamuthi Solar Power Project, one of the largest solar photovoltaic plants in the world. The Khavda complex has been central to the company’s expansion, billed as the world’s largest single-location renewable energy project.
Shares of Adani Green Energy were trading at Rs 1,022.35 on Tuesday, down 1.26 percent. The stock recorded a day’s high of Rs 1,043.00 and a day’s low of Rs 1,018.50. Over the past year, the stock has fallen sharply by 46 percent, declining from Rs 1,988.45 to Rs 758.00. It currently trades at a price-to-earnings multiple of 101.94.
