The Titan Capital Winners Fund, a SEBI-registered Category-II Alternative Investment Fund (AIF), has announced the successful closure of its fundraise, reaching its target corpus of Rs 200 crore. The fund, backed by Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal, known for their pivotal roles in the growth of several successful startups, will focus on investing in follow-on rounds for breakout companies from its seed portfolio.
Moneycontrol was first to report about Titan Capital's Winners Fund on April 26, its maiden capital pool from external investors. While Titan Capital has already raised Rs 200 crore, there is a greenshoe option of Rs 100 crore, as reported earlier.
Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal will anchor the fund as its largest investors. They will continue to offer support and guidance to founders as they scale their ventures. The Titan Capital seed investment portfolio boasts notable names such as Urban Company, MamaEarth, OfBusiness, Razorpay, Unicommerce, and Ola Cabs.
“With the Titan Capital Winners Fund, we can more significantly support the founders of our portfolio companies in subsequent rounds of capital raises, further strengthening Titan Capital's partnership with them,” Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal stated.
The fund is managed by an experienced team, including Chetan Rana as CFO, who brings extensive experience from WestBridge Capital, Edelweiss Financial Group, and Big 4 firms, and Shiv Kapoor as Vice President, with over a decade of experience in the startup ecosystem, including roles at Dropbox and Urban Company.
Despite a challenging market environment for venture capital, the Titan Capital Winners Fund successfully completed its fundraising in under six months, with Sanctum Wealth acting as a placement agent. The fund’s Limited Partners (LPs) include prominent family offices, CEOs, founders of leading companies, and key figures from the VC industry. An additional round of LPs is anticipated through an optional greenshoe.
