SP Apparels opens at premium to issue price of Rs 268/sh

    SP Apparels was listed at the exchanges with 3 percent gains at Rs 275 per share from its issue price of Rs 268 per share. Soon after the shares jumped 7 percent. The company raised Rs 215 crore through IPO.

    IPO of the company which manufacturers and exporters of knitted garments for children.The portion set aside for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) was oversubscribed 2.21 times, while non institutional investors 5.10 times, as per NSE data. Retail investors portion was oversubscribed 1.90 times.The Tiruppur-based company currently operates through 21 manufacturing facilities in Tamil Nadu. For fiscal year 2016, the company exported approximately 35.98 million pieces of knitted garments for infants and children directly to international customers, including TESCO and Primark.
