IT firm DXC Technology is set to shift its Bengaluru campus from Electronics City to Prestige Lakeshore Drive in Bellandur on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) even as several companies have moved out of the area, sources told Moneycontrol.
It wasn’t clear why the company is moving to ORR when others are choosing to leave due to infrastructure problems. DXC Tech could be looking for cheaper options after it sold its Electronic City campus, sources said.
Prestige Lakeshore Drive, located next to the Bellandur Lake, will house the new campus of the US-based firm, which employs over 20,000 people in Bengaluru. However, several employees have raised concerns over poor accessibility to the under-construction tech park, flagging commuting challenges.
It may be recalled that real estate developer Sattva Group acquired DXC Technology’s 20-acre Electronics City campus for around Rs 400 crore.
Separately, global investment firm Blackstone has leased approximately 4.5 lakh sq ft of premium office space at Prestige Lakeshore Drive.
DXC Technology had not responded to Moneycontrol's queries at the time of publishing.
ORR shifts amid infra concerns
The move comes at a time when several companies along the traffic-clogged Central Silk Board-KR Pura stretch are reportedly exploring relocation options. Areas such as Whitefield, now connected by the Purple Line Metro and North Bengaluru near Kempegowda International Airport are emerging as preferred alternatives due to better connectivity.

The ORR Metro corridor, part of the Blue Line connecting Central Silk Board to KR Pura, is slated for completion by December 2026. However, given the city’s track record of infrastructure delays, industry watchers remain sceptical about the timeline.
Despite being the nerve centre of Bengaluru’s technology sector, ORR continues to face persistent infrastructure challenges, including narrow and damaged roads, severe traffic congestion, water shortages, and flooding during monsoons. According to the Outer Ring Road Companies Association (ORRCA), IT firms along the ORR contribute nearly $22 billion, or about 32 percent of Bengaluru’s total IT revenue.

Other companies moving out
Bengaluru-based food delivery platform Swiggy has also moved its corporate headquarters from Embassy Tech Village in Bellandur on ORR to Sumadhura Capitol Towers in Whitefield.
Logistics platform BlackBuck has also announced its exit from the ORR corridor, citing poor infrastructure.
In a social media post on September 16, chief executive Rajesh Yabaji said the company was relocating to improve employee commute, triggering widespread debate over Bengaluru’s infrastructure challenges and even drawing an invitation from Andhra Pradesh IT minister Nara Lokesh to shift operations to Visakhapatnam.
Yabaji later said BlackBuck would continue to operate from Bengaluru, with plans to split operations between Whitefield and Koramangala.

Prestige’s pitch for Lakeshore Drive
Prestige Group CEO and executive director (Office) Juggy Marwaha recently wrote on LinkedIn that Prestige Lakeshore Drive reflects the evolution of Bengaluru’s technology ecosystem.
He said the campus, developed on what was once challenging marshy land, has now emerged as a landmark workplace destination, backed by Prestige Group chairman Irfan Razack and global investment firm Blackstone.
“Today, three global technology MNCs have validated that vision. They committed long before its potential was visible, and today they don’t merely occupy space here - they call it home,” Marwaha wrote.
He added that Prestige is developing seamless flyover access to the campus at its own cost and on its own land. Future plans include direct metro connectivity, e-bus integration, and a proposed Greater Bengaluru Authority-PPP project to transform Lakeshore Drive into a boulevard-style urban corridor.
Prestige Lakeshore Drive
On the ground at Prestige Lakeshore Drive, the campus is still very much a work in progress.
As of last week, construction workers were engaged in basic infrastructure activity on the sixth floor, including drilling for electrical wiring, putty work, and moving ventilation equipment.
While the building appears largely done, interior and services-related work remains pending.
