Government steps up outreach to foreign investors with CPSE roadshows

To attract foreign investments and showcase India's burgeoning opportunities, the government has prepared a strategy to step up outreach to foreign investors.

The government has commenced roadshows to pitch Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) to potential investors, government sources told CNBC-TV18.

According to the sources, CPSEs have been tasked with undertaking roadshows to garner investor feedback and interest.

The recent roadshow featuring the General Insurance Company (GIC) in the UK, US, Singapore, and Hong Kong stands as a testament to this initiative. GIC is a significant player in the general insurance sector.

The government's proactive approach has received positive feedback from foreign investors, indicating a growing interest in India's state-owned enterprises.

The sources told CNBC-TV18 that more CPSE roadshows are on the horizon, with a potential focus on sectors such as oil and gas, among others.

By engaging with global stakeholders through roadshows, the government aims to bolster investor confidence and facilitate strategic partnerships for the country's economic growth.
