Expect export to rise about 15%, it's a possible engine of growth: Suresh Prabhu

In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Commerce Minister Suresh Prabhu gave his take on Arun Jaitley’s Union Budget and the outlook on the road ahead.

Prabhu said that this is one of the most comprehensive Budgets which takes into consideration all sections of society on board, addresses all the concerns of today and at the same time ensures that India’s need for tomorrow are also addressed at the same time.

He further said that this is a Budget in which we are investing huge amount of money for infrastructure.

Talking about exports, he said the expected rise in export is about 15 percent. We have been seeing a gradual increase in exports. Economic Survey talked about export as a possible engine of growth and that is what we are working on, he added.
