CNBC-TV18’s Timsy Jaipuria caught up with Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Union Minister for Civil Aviation and asked him about his views on India in the global aviation industry.
We do have infrastructure difficulties in the large number of places and we are attending to that, he said.
Some places are congested very badly like Mumbai. Development is a continuous process and airports are no exception, he added.
Air India is a very good airline, finances are bad. I would like it to survive for the Indian skies, I won’t like it to go the Kingfisher way because nobody benefits. We need to keep it going and that is what we are trying to do, he further mentioned.
