Govt targets 7300 km of highways in the country this year
The Centre has set a target of building 7,300 km of highways across the country this fiscal out which 900 km of highways will be awarded to Rajasthan.

The Centre has set a target of building 7,300 km of highways across the country this fiscal out which 900 km of highways will be awarded to Rajasthan.
Giving this information Union Road Transport and Highways minister C P Joshi said, "900 km of national highway projects will be awarded to Rajasthan from the total target of building 7,300 km road project for the current fiscal in the country."As per the target, 7,300 km of highways will be built every year and 21,900 km of highways will be constructed over the next three years in the country," Joshi, who also heads the state unit of the ruling Congress told reporters.On Anna Hazare''s just concluded fast unto death for an effective Lokpal Bill, he said framing a law is the job of elected representatives and the Congress party has always made efforts to strengthen democracy.Replying to a question, he said issues in states going to polls would remain unaffected by the Gandhian's campaign.
