Jagran Prakashan's third quarter consolidated net profit is seen going up 4.5 percent year-on-year to Rs 71 crore, according to the average of estimates of analysts polled by CNBC-TV18. The bottomline may be impacted by high tax and lower other income on forex losses.

Net sales are likely to increase 7.5 percent to Rs 480 crore during October-December quarter from Rs 446 crore in same quarter last fiscal.

Operating profit (EBITDA) may jump 29 percent on yearly basis to Rs 130 crore and margin may expand 400 basis points to 27 percent in the quarter gone by.

Advertising revenue growth is expected to increase 8.5 percent to Rs 350 crore, led by expected 10 percent growth in Dainik Jagran’s advertising revenues. Circulation revenue growth is expected around 5 percent at Rs 98 crore for the quarter.

Moderation in advertising revenue growth is likely to weigh on margin, say analysts, adding Nai Dunia’s advertising revenues are expected to drop during the quarter.

Raw material cost is expected to remain largely flattish in the quarter gone by, year-on-year.
