Adani Total Gas has reported 14.4% rise in its net profit at Rs 171.8 crore on a year-on-year basis, compared to Rs 150 crore in the same period last year.
The company's revenue saw an 8.5% increase, reaching Rs 1,145.4 crore, up from Rs 1,056 crore in the previous year's corresponding quarter.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) witnessed a significant growth of 19.6%, amounting to Rs 296.3 crore as opposed to Rs 247.7 crore in the previous year.
Additionally, Adani Total Gas improved its EBITDA margin, which now stands at 26%, compared to 23.5% a year ago.
In the session ahead of Q1 results, shares of Adani Total Gas closed 0.8 percent higher at Rs 889 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The stock has gained 34 percent in the last one year. Year-to-date, however, the counter is down around 11 percent.
Adani Total Gas operates city gas distribution networks, supplying Piped Natural Gas (PNG) to industrial, commercial, and residential customers. and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) to the transport sector.
The company has already set up city gas distribution networks in Ahmedabad and Vadodara in Gujarat, Faridabad in Haryana and Khurja in Uttar Pradesh.
In addition, the development of Allahabad, Chandigarh, Ernakulam, Panipat, Daman, Dharwad, and Udhamsingh Nagar gas distribution is awarded to consortium of Adani Total Gas and Indian Oil Corporation.
