Jet Airways is expected to post a net loss of Rs 300 crore in the third quarter of FY12 as against adjusted loss of Rs 438 crore and reported loss of Rs 713 crore in the previous quarter.

(In the earlier quarter, the company had extraordinary gain of Rs 118.5 crore due to one off contribution receivable towards maintenance)

Revenues are seen going up by 21% to Rs 3,790 crore from Rs 3,122 crore quarter-on-quarter. EBITDAR is expected to be at 11% versus 5.3% during the same period.

    What to watch out for:

    * Despite Q3 being the strongest seasonally, Jet airways will continue to report losses

    * Higher fuel prices, 11% rupee depreciation and weak operating performance in the quarter main reasons for the loss.

    * However, losses will narrow quarter-on-quarter due to sequential rise in yields.

    * Fuel cost expected up 9.5% QoQ at Rs 1632 crore versus Rs 1491 crore

    * Load factors at 63% versus 65% YoY
