Idea Cellular Q3 cons net profit up 35% at Rs 243 cr

Idea Cellular has declared its third quarter results of FY11. The company's Q3 consolidated net sales were up by 8.68% at Rs 3,952.6 crore versus Rs 3,636.7 crore, quarter-on-quarter, QoQ.

    Idea Cellular has declared its third quarter results of FY11. The company's Q3 consolidated net sales were up by 8.68% at Rs 3,952.6 crore versus Rs 3,636.7 crore, quarter-on-quarter, QoQ.


    Its consolidated net profit was up by 35.22% at Rs 243 crore versus Rs 179.7 crore, QoQ.

    In a press conference, the management said:
    -In talks with operators for 3G rollout in non-license areas
    -Q3 EBITDA at 20.6% versus 20.7% (QoQ)
    -Q3 total minutes on network up 10.2% (QoQ)
    -Q3 average realised rate/min at 41.8 paise versus 42.3 paise (QoQ)
    -Q3 established service areas revenue at Rs 3,594 crore
    -Q3 Average minutes of usage/user at 401 versus  394 (QoQ)
    -Q3 Average revenue/user at Rs 168 versus Rs 167 (QoQ)
    -Added 7.6 million subscribers in Q3
    -Expect FY11 capex at Rs 3,000 crore, excluding 3G spectrum fee
    -Mobile number portability will not be a `game changer'
