As Dhanteras heralds the commencement of the five-day Diwali festivities, major jewellery retailers such as Tanishq, Kalyan Jewellers, Malabar Gold & Diamonds and others are strategically deploying discounts and offers to entice customers into purchasing gold and precious gems.
Dhanteras, also known as Dhantrayodashi, holds immense significance as it is dedicated to the goddess of wealth, with the belief that acquiring gold, diamonds and valuable items on this day brings prosperity.
This year, Dhanteras (falling on November 10) is accompanied by festivities, including Chhoti Diwali on November 11, Diwali on November 12, Govardhan Puja on November 13 and Bhai Dooj on November 14.
Tanishq: Offering discounts of up to 20 percent on making charges for gold and diamond jewellery, Tanishq is also providing a 100 percent exchange value on old gold purchased from any jeweller. Additionally, customers using SBI Cards can avail an instant Rs 4,000 discount on a minimum transaction of Rs 80,000 until November 12.
Kalyan Jewellers (Candere): Extending a flat 20 percent discount on diamond prices and an instant 3 percent discount on debit and credit card purchases, Candere by Kalyan Jewellers aims to attract customers with straightforward discounts.
Malabar Gold & Diamonds: Offering a 100 mg gold coin for every Rs 30,000 spent on gold jewellery, Malabar Gold & Diamonds is also presenting substantial discounts of up to 30 percent on diamond values. SBI Cardholders can enjoy an additional 5 percent cashback on minimum transactions of Rs 25,000 until November 12.
Carat Lane: Providing a flat 25 percent off on diamond purchases exceeding Rs 4,000, Carat Lane sweetens the deal for SBI Cardholders with an extra 5 percent instant discount until November 12.
PC Jewellers: With a 25 percent reduction in making charges across all jewellery and a 10 percent discount on diamonds and stones, PC Jewellers is offering an additional rs 100 off per gram of gold jewellery. These discounts are applicable until November 15.
