Venus Home appliances eyes 5% market share in fan segment

The company today introduced about 65 different models in various colours across all categories including ceiling, table fan, pedestal, wall mountable and exhaust fans.

Home appliances manufacturer Venus has forayed into the fan market and eyes a five percent market share over the next three years, a senior company official said.

The company today introduced about 65 different models in various colours across all categories including ceiling, table fan, pedestal, wall mountable and exhaust fans.

"Over the years, Venus has always pushed the boundaries and brought its consumers the best of innovation and technology in water heaters. This spirit of innovation extends to our fan range which adheres to our core values of quality, reliability and performance", Venus Home Appliances Director, I Ram Kumar said.

According to him, the domestic fan market was valued at Rs 6,500 crore. "We are targeting five percent of the market share by 2020" he said.

The fans would be available through its 4,000 dealer networks from March.

"Venus has a wide distribution network and service centres and we are confident in leveraging this to sell our new fan range across the country..", Venus Home Appliances, National Sales Head, M Syed Shabbir said.

The company has about 175 service centres, he said.
