CNBC-TV18 learns that the government will embark on a three-day roadshow in United Kingdom, United States and South Asia from November 17 in order to woo foreign investors for a further stake sale in Coal India.
We also learn that a roadshow in Mumbai is scheduled between November 13 and 14 while Chennai will have its roadshow post the international roadshows.
However, CNBC-TV18 learns that a new chairman for coal India may be appointed before the government embarks on its internatlonal roadshows.
The government is looking at divesting 10% stake in Coal India amidst trade unions striking from November 24.
