Laos seeks Indian investment in agro-industries

Laos has expressed interest in Indian investment in agro-industries and service sector in the Southeast Asian country.

Laos has expressed interest in Indian investment in agro-industries and service sector in the Southeast Asian country.


Phongsavath Boupha, Minister to the Presidential Palace of Laos, said this today after calling on West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee at the state secretariat here.


To a question, he told media persons that India is placed seventh in Foreign Direct Investment in Laos.


He also expressed interest in strengthening bilateral ties with the help of tourism.

Boupha said his country was interested in having cultural and educational exchange programmes with West Bengal.
