Rice miller Usher Agro today said it has expanded its milling capacity by 2,91,600 million metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) taking the company's total capacity to 5,43,600 MTPA.
"We have achieved one of the largest and fastest expansion plans in this industry at one single location. We are extremely proud of our achievement as with this increased production and processing capacity, we are now the largest producer and processor in the country," Usher Agro Managing Director Vinod Kumar Chaturvedi said in a statement here.The company has rice milling facility at Chhata in Mathura (Uttar Pradesh).
Out of the total rice milling capacity, the company has increased the capacity to process and produce Par Boiled Rice to 4,50,000 MTPA, which is one of the largest in the country, it said.This increased production capacity is expected to have a positive bearing on the top line and the profitability of the company, it added.Shares of the company today closed at Rs 89.50, down by 0.33% on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
