Sudarshan Sukhani of s2analytics.com told CNBC-TV18, "Today I am rather upbeat because today is Krishna Janmashtmi; that is a good day to be buying and tomorrow is Independence Day, and the market is obliging us by being upbeat also. So, there are three stocks, all three are for buying."
"The first is Tata Steel which has been seeing a rally, small mild decline and the rally continues. I am not very upbeat on metals, but as a short term trade, it is worth going into."
"The second is Titan Company. Since moring it has been rallying, but that rally is likely to continue. Remember, Titan did not drop last week when the whole market was falling, that shows outperformance," he said.
"The third is M&M Financial Services. Same story, outperformance, the stock went into a consolidation when the Nifty was falling from 10,100 to 9,700 and that shows outperformance. So, three buying ideas, all in midcaps and all for today."
"I would suggest going in for other asset management companies, ICICI and HDFC. Both own the best brands in asset management and perhaps for me if you are looking at a time horizon of three to five years, that is enough time for these trades to play out, the value to be available and unlocked to shareholders. So, to me the charts also suggest that the best two companies would be ICICI and HDFC. However, one cannot go wrong by buying Edelweiss Financial at these prices."
"It is not the right time to invest in pharmaceutical sector. This is a sector that is falling. It stops, it pauses, and then it sees new lows. As retail investors we do not buy new lows. We leave it to the professional traders, professional investors, large mutual funds, big hedge funds. It is not our job to find a bottom for any market, any stock. Let the decline stop, let them start building bases, let smart money start pushing up prices, then we are going to buy. It is too early; I would not advice at all, avoid pharmaceutical."
