Ayodhya to get 8 new flights from Delhi, Chennai and other cities from Feb 1

The Ministry of Civil Aviation is set to launch eight new flight routes for Ayodhya

After the Pran Pratishtha ceremony was held in Ayodhya on January 22, flight connectivity to the temple town has been increasing rapidly.

To further boost air connectivity and facilitate the arrival of pilgrims, Ministry of Civil Aviation is set to launch eight new SpiceJet flight routes for Ayodhya on February 1, 2024. The new flight routes will connect Ayodhya with Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Patna, Darbhanga, Mumbai and Bengaluru.

The flight services will be inaugurated by Union Minister of Civil Aviation and Steel Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Ram Mandir consecration ceremony

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22 took part in the auspicious Pran Pratishtha ceremony held in Ayodhya. The Ram Lalla idol was unveiled after the hour-long rituals in the presence of the Prime Minister, who led the ceremony.

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani along with his family, as well as Sunil Bharti Mittal, Kumar Mangalam Birla and other noted personalities were also present during the Ram temple inauguration ceremony.

Bollywood celebrities such as Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Madhuri Dixit, Kangana Ranaut were also spotted at the grand event.

The temple has been witnessing a huge rush since the consecration ceremony of the new idol of Ram Lalla.

According to reports, nearly five lakh visitors went to the Ram temple on the first day of its opening on January 23 and since then the numbers have remained consistently high, with daily visits reaching about two lakhs.

Last month, PM Modi had inaugurated the newly built Ayodhya Airport, named Maharishi Valmiki International Airport.

In the first phase the airport can handle 10 lakh passengers annually and after the second phase, Maharishi Valmiki International Airport will cater to 60 lakh commuters annually.

The airport will improve connectivity in the region, leading to a boost in tourism, business activities and employment opportunities.
