Malaika Arora may be a fitness enthusiast who likes to keep track of her macros and finish her dinner by sunset, but there are days when she lets loose and allows herself to enjoy midnight snacks.
The actress recently posted an Instagram story enjoying Kerala banana chips in a bowl at night while watching television. She wrote, “Midnight snack and television. Kerala banana chips for the win.”
Kerala banana chips are considered a healthier option than processed chips as they are rich in vitamins and minerals. Additionally, they are gluten-free, easy to digest due to their high fiber content, and boost energy.
In a recent podcast with Soha Ali Khan, the actress, who defies age with her fit body and glowing skin, stated that sleep, nutrition, and mental health are most important to her for a healthy life.
Sharing her thoughts on the show about the myth surrounding carbs, Malaika said cutting carbs depletes your energy, leads to hair fall, fainting, and renders you incapable of working.
“You need to have a little bit of everything. I believe in portion control. I have done this my entire life. I eat in a katori. You could have 3–4 meals but that’s how much you should eat. Also, I finish my meals by sunset,” she said.
While Malaika has always been open about her intermittent fasting, detox drinks, and the foods she enjoys, she also often encourages her fans on Instagram to follow a healthy lifestyle and exercise.
She recently posted a reel showing fans how to lose belly fat with four powerful exercises and captioned it, “Strong core, zero equipment — just your mat and these exercises.”
The routine included four crunches — knee-to-elbow crunch, boat pose crunch, V-hold, and ankle tuck crunch. The exercises targeted different parts of the body, such as the upper and lower abs, while strengthening the core and back.
