Valentine’s month sparks joy in lovers. There’s a full week dedicated to romance, where even small gestures count, like whipping up a quick chocolate dish. If you worry your partner is health-conscious, then there’s no dearth of healthy chocolate dishes.
Simrat Kathuria, celebrity dietician and wellness coach, shared one such recipe with Moneycontrol that you’d love to try.
According to Simrat, two secret factors decide the success of the dish: one is high-quality ingredients and the other is proper serving sizes while combining chocolate with foods that contain essential nutrients. For her, a dark chocolate chia protein pudding is the perfect solution to satisfy sweet cravings for those on a diet.
“Dark chocolate especially when it contains 70 per cent cocoa or more contains strong antioxidants which researchers identify as flavonoids. The natural compounds deliver two main benefits to the body by protecting it from daily stress and supporting heart health while creating slight mood enhancement effects,” she said.
Chia seeds serve as the essential nutritional foundation for this recipe. The seeds contain three nutrients, which include fibre, omega-3 fatty acids, and plant-based protein. “These nutrients support three health benefits, which include weight control, improved digestive function, and constant energy maintenance. This process creates a creamy dessert, which doesn’t require the use of heavy cream or refined thickeners,” the dietitian added.
