In an old interview with veteran actor Farida Jalal, Salman Khan had spoken candidly about being labelled an “angry man” and what that anger actually meant to him. At a time when his temperament was often discussed in public conversations, the actor chose to explain it in his own words.
“I am angry man. Uss qisam ka anger nahi ki kissiko maar diya,” Salman had said, clarifying that his anger was not about violence or harming someone. He made it clear that the emotion he feels comes from a different place altogether. “I get angry at corruption and injustice,” he added.
The actor further shared that social realities affect him deeply. “Jab kissi gareeb ko dekhta hu toh I feel very sad,” he said during the conversation. He expressed how seeing poverty and helplessness around him triggers strong emotions.
Salman also spoke about incidents he has witnessed in everyday life that continue to trouble him. “Kitni baar aisa hua hai ki raaste se jaa rha hu koi gira pada hai and people standing there and nobody is picking him up,” he stated. According to him, such moments highlight a lack of sensitivity in society.
He stressed that his anger is rooted in a desire to act rather than ignore what is happening around him. “I can take a stand,” Salman said, indicating that he believes in stepping forward when something feels wrong.
During the interview, he also addressed the image built around him. “Jo image press ne banai hai, that’s a totally wrong image. I don’t agree with that,” he remarked, rejecting the narrative that painted him as someone consumed by uncontrolled rage.
The throwback clip from his conversation with Fareeda Jalal continues to circulate online, reminding fans of the time when Salman Khan chose to define his anger in his own voice. Through his words, he positioned himself not as a man driven by temper, but as someone disturbed by corruption, injustice, and public apathy.
