Salman Khan is reportedly in talks with Raj & DK to star in a superhero film. The upcoming collaboration might be a significant change in direction for both the star and the filmmakers, known for shows like The Family Man, Farzi, and Guns & Gulaab.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the filmmakers are working on a quirky superhero movie for Salman that is anticipated to be similar to Hancock, starring Will Smith.
A source told the outlet, “Salman Khan will be seen as a superhero who wants to hang up his cape and retire from saving the world, having grown weary of doing the same thing on repeat.”
“But circumstances refuse to let him live in peace and keep pulling him back into action time and again, eventually pushing him into a larger conflict. The narrative blends broad comedy with superhero beats, essentially a high-concept superhero comedy,” added the insider.
The source added that Salman Khan has embraced the concept and is waiting for Raj and DK to finish the screenplay.
The source continued, "Salman's concern is the budget. He has asked Raj and DK to develop it with the right budget in mind, as Salman is in no mood to do an expensive superhero film. The director duo is working on the script, keeping Salman Khan's character traits in mind.”
It is anticipated that Salman Khan would be narrated by Raj and DK in April 2026.
“He is excited by the flm and if all goes well, it will go on floors in November 2026. It's produced by Mythri Productions with Reel Life Entertainment,” further noted the insider.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is currently busy with the shooting of his upcoming war drama, Battle of Galwan. He will play Colonel B. Santosh Babu, who led the 16 Bihar Regiment in a vicious face-to-face conflict with Chinese soldiers that took place without the use of weapons.
Battle of Galwan is slated to hit the theatres on April 17, 2026.
