The late veteran actor Rajesh Khanna and his daughter Twinkle Khanna share a special connection as they both celebrate their birthdays on December 29. On the occasion of his birth anniversary, we remember the legendary star and his remarkable legacy. In a heartfelt moment from the past, Rajesh Khanna had expressed his belief that his grandson Aarav would carry forward the family’s illustrious legacy and emerge as a prominent name in the world of cinema, continuing the superstar lineage.

In a reflective interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rajesh Khanna expressed his aspirations for his grandson Aarav, predicting that he would emerge as the next superstar in the film industry. Khanna emphasized that Aarav would embody the talent, dedication, and sacrifices that had been a defining trait of their family lineage. "Aarav will be Indian film industry’s next superstar," he said.

Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna have two kids, Aarav and Nitara. They couple got married in 2001.

In a 2024 appearance on Shikhar Dhawan's talk show Dhawan Karenge, Akshay Kumar shared insights about his son Aarav. He revealed that Aarav, who is currently studying at a university in London, left home at the age of 15 to pursue his passion for education and experience living independently. Akshay admitted that, while he was initially reluctant to let Aarav go, he ultimately respected his son's decision, reflecting on his own experience of leaving home at the age of 14.

Rajesh Khanna, fondly known as the "First Superstar" of Indian cinema, passed away on July 18, 2012, at the age of 69. He had been battling health issues for some time and was undergoing treatment for an undisclosed illness. Khanna breathed his last at his residence, Aashirwad, in Mumbai, surrounded by his family.

His demise marked the end of an era in Bollywood, where he had ruled as a superstar in the late 1960s and 1970s, delivering an unprecedented string of 15 consecutive solo hit films. His contributions to Indian cinema remain unforgettable, and his fans continue to remember him as one of the most iconic actors in the industry's history.
