According to a recent report by Siasat Daily, the rift between Tamannaah and Vijay began due to differing views on their future, particularly regarding marriage. It is believed that Tamannaah, in her mid-30s, was eager to settle down and had started feeling the pressure to do so.

Sources claim this desire to marry became a "point of contention" between the two, resulting in frequent disagreements. The growing tension over their differing timelines for commitment eventually led to their decision to part ways.

On Tuesday, a source close to the couple confirmed the split and told Moneycontrol that Tamannaah and Vijay had parted ways weeks ago. However, the source clarified that the duo still plans to remain good friends despite ending their romantic relationship. Both actors have continued to focus on their professional commitments, with busy schedules keeping them occupied.

The public first became aware of their relationship during the release of Lust Stories 2 in 2023, when the two worked together for the first time. Their chemistry quickly became a talking point, and media attention surrounding their bond increased. Despite the growing public interest, Vijay and Tamannaah were careful to maintain their privacy. They were not keen on making their personal life the subject of constant scrutiny but also didn’t feel the need to hide it entirely.

In a previous interview, Vijay had addressed the idea of keeping their relationship private. While they weren’t actively concealing their romance, he explained that both he and Tamannaah preferred to keep certain aspects of their personal lives out of the limelight. He mentioned that they didn't see the point in hiding their relationship, as doing so would only add unnecessary pressure. According to Vijay, the idea of maintaining secrecy—such as avoiding public appearances together or ensuring their friends didn’t capture private moments—felt like an unnecessary burden.

He shared that both he and Tamannaah were aligned in their approach to their relationship, acknowledging their love and cherishing their time together without feeling the need to broadcast every detail to the world. “We both feel there’s no reason to keep it under wraps if we genuinely enjoy each other’s company,” he had said, emphasising that the essence of their bond was rooted in mutual respect and understanding.

Despite the split, it’s reportedly clear that Vijay and Tamannaah hold no ill will toward one another. Their focus now is on maintaining their individual careers while cherishing the friendship they’ve built, despite the end of their romantic relationship.
