Vicky Kaushal learned the famous Tauba Tauba dance moves in just three days

Actor Vicky Kaushal has become a rage after the release of his superhit dong Tauba Tauba from his upcoming movie Bad Newz.

The actor, who has been appreciated by Greek God Hrithik Roshan himself, said praise coming from the ace dancer is in itself an 'Oscar for him'. Vicky said, "A pat on my back from him is like an Oscar for me."

When asked about how many days of hard work it was and how they conceptualized the song Tauba Tauba, his co-actor Tripti Dimri was quick to add, "He has learned the steps in just three days."

To this, Vicky shyly said while they had wrapped up the film's shoot that they were thinking of doing a dance number when they got the idea of this song, Tauba Tauba. He also praised his choreographers, Bosco and Ceaser, and said he learned it in three days.

"We had completed the shoot of the movie, and then we thought of doing a track. We were all very excited that we should do something different. And choreographers Bosco and Ceaser have choreographed some amazing songs in the past 20 years, be it with Hrithik or Katrina. We were happy with the team that came together. Hats off to Bosco sir for teaching me this in 3–4 days, and mehnat ka phal aapke saamne hi hai. Overall, we are very happy. That is what happened with Tauba Tauba," Vicky told reporters.

On a lighter note, referring to Sunny Deol's claim that he had done Tauba Tauba dance moves many years before Vicky, the actor said, "Sunny Deol is the OG Gadar."

Ammy Virk said he was wondering why he wasn't called to be a part of the show, but when he saw Vicky's dance moves, he thought it was a 'good decision' leaving everyone in splits.

"I was wondering why they didn't call me, but when I saw the song, I thought, Ki achcha hua ki mujhe nahi bulaya. Maine bhangra hi karna tha," Ammy said.

Talking further about Tauba Tauba, to which many celebs were also seen shaking a leg at the recently held Ambani weddings, Vicky said: "There are some songs that create a flow of their own. Nothing is bigger than a song that we drop on the highway, and the audience takes it off from there and makes it their own. That is what happened with ‘Tauba Tauba’. It’s there in the film as well."

Bad Newz, which was initially titled Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam, has Vicky, Tripti, and Ammy sharing screen space for the first time.

The film is directed by Anand Tiwari, and it also stars Neha Dhupia.

'Bad Newz' will release on July 19.
