Comedian Samay Raina has always been quick with his wit, but this time he admits he might be out of his depth. Wearing a cheeky “Say No to Cruise” T-shirt, Samay Raina attended the screening of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut 'The Ba**ds Of Bollywood' and walked out both impressed and a little intimidated.
His review of the Netflix series has already gone viral, thanks to his mix of admiration and playful self-deprecation.
Samay's Instagram story
Samay Raina described the show as “pure menace,” praising its edgy humour and daring storytelling. “Congratulations to my G @aryan for creating this amazing show. It’s so edgy and funny that mujhe darr lag raha hai,” he wrote.
The India’s Got Latent comic even joked that his own career could be at risk after watching something this bold and sharp.
He doubled down on the praise with another post: “It’s genuinely too good, do watch Ba***ds of Bollywood on @netflix_in! Aryan is one of the sweetest guys I have met but what he has created is a pure menace. So happy for you brother! This is not a paid post, woh baadme daalunga. Yeh dil se hai.”
Adding to the humor, Raina shared a picture with Aryan but covered it with a “censored” sticker captioned, “Nothing to see here.” He also posted snaps with cast members Raghav Juyal and Lakshya Lalwani, joking, “Bhagwaan kare inko kisi ki nazar na lagey.”
Aryan Khan’s debut project is set deep inside the world of Hindi cinema. The story follows Aasmaan Singh, an outsider determined to carve a space in Bollywood. His journey collides with Karishma Talvar’s, unraveling dark secrets of the industry—nepotism, ambition, and blurred lines between fiction and reality.
The ensemble cast includes Lakshya Lalwani, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Sehhar Bamba, Bobby Deol, and Mona Singh. The series also boasts heavyweight cameos from Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, and Emraan Hashmi, adding an extra layer of excitement for viewers.
