Actor Rimi Sen, once a familiar face in mainstream Bollywood comedies and thrillers, recently found herself back in the spotlight for an unexpected reason. Years after stepping away from the limelight, the actor trended across social media after her latest Instagram pictures went viral, sparking speculation about plastic surgery.
The renewed attention reportedly began with a Reddit post, which quickly snowballed into online chatter questioning her appearance. Many users assumed the actor had gone under the knife, prompting debates and comparisons. When HT City reached out to Rimi Sen for her reaction, she addressed the rumours with characteristic candour and humour.
Laughing off the speculation, Sen said, “Agar logon ko aisa lag raha hai ki maine plastic surgery karvayi hai… if it’s in a good way, it’s very good for me. Bina plastic surgery karaye bina hi log bol rahe hain.” She was clear in drawing a line between cosmetic procedures and surgery, adding, “I have only got fillers, Botox, PRP treatment done, nothing else.”
The actor, who rose to fame with popular films like Dhoom, Golmaal: Fun Unlimited, and Johnny Gaddaar, also shared her personal views on cosmetic surgery. She remarked bluntly, “One shouldn’t need to get plastic surgery done unless someone is on the run after committing any crime!” Rimi went on to acknowledge that advanced cosmetic procedures are widely available, saying, “There are so many good doctors outside India, who are very good at facelifts.”
Interestingly, Sen did not rule out surgery altogether but placed it firmly in the future. “I too want to get it done, but I will think about it after I cross the age of 50. Abhi inn sab se kaam chal raha hai,” she said, suggesting she is comfortable with her current choices for now.
Talking further about her skincare and maintenance routine, the 42-year-old revealed that she regularly consults two doctors. “They help me a lot to look good,” she said, hinting that people may simply be reacting to her improved skin quality. “Shayad logon ko meri latest pics mein skin achha lag raha hoga mera.”
Rimi also pointed out that looking good does not always require drastic measures. “Anyone can look good by using these things, and having discipline,” she explained. At the same time, she appeared open to feedback, adding, “But if you are calling what I have done bad, then tell me how can I correct it, so I can tell my doctors where they are going wrong. I can say isko correct kar do.”
