Tamil actor Ajith Kumar is currently at the Sepang International Circuit for the Michelin 12H Malaysia Endurance Race. Soon after starting the race, he got involved in a collision. Fortunately, he didn’t suffer any injury.
Following the incident at the track, Ajith told the reporter, “A couple of cars spun ahead of me, including our second car. We could do nothing, just do nothing to avoid. But I guess that's what racing is all about, you know. So, yeah, it's disheartening, but there's always another race.”
However, when he was asked if he would return to the track for the ongoing race, Ajith responded, “I think we have damaged our radiator, so I hope they can try and fix it. If they do, maybe, if not, probably wait for the next race.”
Ajith's trip to Malaysia comes after he recently visited the Murugan temple at Kuala Lumpur's Batu Caves, where pics and videos of him went viral. In one video, he is seen courteously asking followers to refrain from yelling on the temple grounds. Ajith had made a similar plea earlier when he was at Tirumala, telling fans to keep their cool when they saw him.
On the work front, Ajith was last seen in Magizh Thirumeni’s Vidaamuyarchi and Adhik Ravichandran’s Good Bad Ugly, both released in 2024.
The actor formed Ajith Kumar Racing, which allows him to compete in endurance events all around the world, and has been primarily focused on his love of motorsports. Ajith has repeatedly said that he will only give movies priority when his racing schedule permits.
Fans have been excitedly awaiting an update on Ajith's upcoming movie, which is anticipated to be directed by Adhik Ravichandran, since Good Bad Ugly.
