The highly anticipated movie Bhool Chuk Maaf's producers have changed their release schedule, choosing to launch it on OTT.
A statement has been released by the makers that mentioned "recent events and heightened security drills across the nation" have influenced the decision, which was initially planned for a theatrical release.
The film will now be releasing on 16th May on Amazon Prime Video.
The statement read, “In light of recent events and the heightened security drills across the nation, we at Maddock Films and Amazon MGM Studios have decided to bring our family entertainer, Bhool Chuk Maaf, directly to your homes on May 16-only on Prime Video, worldwide”.
“While we were eagerly looking forward to celebrating this film with you in theaters, the spirit of the nation comes first. JAI HIND,” it added.
Originally anticipated to be released in theatres during the height of summer, the movie has created a lot of buzz due to its captivating plot and all-star cast.
Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi play the lead roles in Karan Sharma's film Bhool Chuk Maaf.
Rajkummar Rao portrays Ranjan, a man excitedly awaiting his wedding day with his fiancée, Titli, in the film, which is set in the holy city of Varanasi. But Ranjan's joy is fleeting because he keeps waking up on the morning of his Haldi ceremony, becoming stuck in a time loop.
Sanjay Mishra, Raghubir Yadav, and Seema Pahwa are among the film's talented ensemble cast members. Bhool Chuk Maaf, which is being produced by Maddock Films, looks to be a captivating and distinctive film.
The deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, which claimed 26 lives, has further strained the already tense relationship between India and Pakistan.
The diplomatic crisis between the two countries has gotten worse as a result of this incident. Operation Sindoor, which targets and destroys terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), was launched by the Indian Armed Forces on Wednesday in response to this attack.
The operation successfully targeted and destroyed nine terrorist sites, according to Wing Commander Vyomika Singh. She assured the public that the locations were picked with care to guarantee that neither people nor their infrastructure would be harmed. The operation demonstrates India's resolute anti-terrorist posture and dedication to protecting its people.
