Priyanka Chopra shares childhood and Miss India throwback photos

Actor Priyanka Chopra recently shared insights into her childhood and her journey into the entertainment industry, reflecting on how far she has come since her early years. Taking to Instagram, Priyanka posted a picture collage featuring two contrasting images of herself—one as a child and the other as a teenager just after winning the Miss India title. Despite being in the industry for almost 25 years, Priyanka revealed that she is “still figuring it out.”

In her post, she humorously warned, “Warning: Don’t troll my 9-year-old self.” She explained the transformation between the two photos, saying, “So wild to think about what puberty and grooming can do to a girl. On the left is me at my awkward pre-teen era with a ‘Boy cut’ hairstyle so it wouldn’t be cumbersome at school. (Thanks ma @drmadhuakhourichopra). I went from a ‘katori cut’ to this. So it was a win.” She continued, “and on the right is me at 17, having just won Miss India in the year 2000 and basking in the glory of hair, make up and wardrobe.. Both pictures taken less than a decade apart.”

Quoting pop star Britney Spears, Priyanka added, “As Britney Spears very articulately put it.. I’m not a girl, not yet a woman. That was exactly how I felt then, entering the big world of entertainment. Almost 25 years later.. still figuring it out. Though, aren’t we all?” She encouraged her followers to reflect on their personal journeys, concluding, “Think about your younger self and how much she has done for you. Love yourself, you’ve gone through a lot to be where you are today. What did your younger self do for you? Post your #growupchallenge #mondaymusings. Thank you to who made this side by side picture and sent me.”

The post drew positive reactions from both fans and celebrities. Actor Sunil Grover commented, “This is the best post. Love it. As you asked, my younger self gives me lots of innocence. And I want to tell that you are doing great my younger self. Keep dreaming. Big and bigger.”

Fans also poured in their admiration for Priyanka’s reflective post. One fan remarked, “Every brown girl has a picture like this I swear! You are so brave for posting yours.” Another commented, “Queen for a reason. You have always been my inspiration PC.” A third added, “In this journey of founding yourself, you inspired millions.” One fan emotionally shared, “My younger self gained so much confidence having fought against bullying throughout my school life. It was all you and your inspiring words. My role model.” Another fan simply wrote, “You are the best Priyanka - so so inspiring always!”
