The actor, known for his enormous influence in Indian cinema, was taken to the hospital on Monday night after experiencing stomach pain, according to a hospital insider. Rajinikanth is set to undergo an elective procedure, supervised by interventional cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish, in the cardiac cath lab on Tuesday. Fondly called “Thalaivar” by his legion of admirers, Rajinikanth has enjoyed an illustrious career spanning over four decades, solidifying his status as one of Indian cinema’s most revered figures.
