Arijit Singh’s much-awaited song from Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan’s upcoming romantic drama Ek Din is finally out, and it has already started creating waves online. The track marks a special moment for fans, as it comes amid conversations around Arijit’s reported retirement from playback singing. With this release, excitement around the film has only grown stronger.

The teaser of Ek Din, which dropped a few days ago, received immense love for its magical romantic vibe and the refreshing chemistry between Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan. Now, with Arijit’s soulful voice adding emotional depth to the film’s music, the anticipation has doubled. Aamir Khan Productions officially confirmed that Arijit Singh has lent his voice to the film, calling it the beginning of a much-awaited musical collaboration.

Interestingly, the music session took place in Arijit Singh’s hometown, where Aamir Khan personally collaborated with the singer. Earlier, there had been widespread speculation that Aamir visited Arijit after news of his retirement surfaced, with many assuming the superstar was trying to convince him to return to playback singing. With the release of this song, those rumours have now been put to rest. The visit was indeed for Ek Din. Sharing the update, the production house expressed gratitude, writing, “Thank you, Arijit, for bringing so much emotion and heart to Ek Din’s music.”

Sai Pallavi and Junaid Khan are pairing up on screen for the first time in Ek Din, and their fresh chemistry has already caught viewers’ attention. In this romantic tale, Junaid plays a slightly awkward boy, while Sai Pallavi portrays a naturally confident girl. The teaser hinted at a sweet, tender love story, and the new song further enhances that emotional world.

Ek Din also marks a reunion between Aamir Khan and filmmaker Mansoor Khan after years. The duo has previously delivered classics like Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Akele Hum Akele Tum, and Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na. Their collaboration on another romantic story adds a nostalgic charm to the project.

Directed by Sunil Pandey and produced by Aamir Khan, Mansoor Khan, and Aparna Purohit under Aamir Khan Productions, Ek Din is set to release in theatres on May 1, 2026.
