Actor Nagarjuna has announced a grand theatrical re-release of his Telugu film ‘Siva’ on the occasion of his father and Indian cinema legend, Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s 101st birth anniversary.

Paying tribute to his father, who changed the grammar of the Telugu film and also established the entire industry, Nagarjuna said that the film directed by Ram Gopal Varma will hit the big screen on November 14 this year.

‘Siva’, backed by Annapurna Studio, is known as the greatest Indian films of all time, which broke the box office records and received a lot of appreciation from the audience on its release.

Nagarjuna quoted, “My father always believed cinema had the power to live beyond generations, and Shiva was one such film. Bringing it back to the big screen on 14th November in 4K Dolby Atmos is a tribute to his dream of keeping stories alive for the next generation."

Ram Gopal Varma, who made his directorial debut with ‘Siva’, said that the film will return to the big screen in an updated and polished format. This will add to the film’s unmatched technical appeal over the years.

The filmmaker added, “I can't wait for people to watch the film, and have an absolutely immersive experience."
