Munawar Faruqui once talked candidly about a very difficult and emotional time in his life after learning that his young son had a serious illness. He disclosed that the diagnosis, which involved a condition known to cause blood vessel inflammation and possibly result in heart damage, was made when his son was only one and a half years old.

Munawar recalled that trying time and revealed that the diagnosis came with a lot of financial strain. Munawar only had Rs 700 in his pocket, but his son needed life-saving injections, which cost Rs 25,000 each. He had no choice but to ask for assistance because he was struggling with the unexpected burden and couldn't afford the treatment on his own.
