Manushi, 26, played the role of Akshay Kumar's (56), wife Rani Sanyogita in Samrat Prithviraj which released in 2022. But the actress in her latest interview said that she doesn't find it weird or atrocious.
She also said that Akshay is a superstar and she wants to work with him as it will give her a certain attention as an actor.
"There are many many facets to this. I can only speak for myself. He is a superstar. Many want to work with him, I want to work with him. We are all fans but I don't cast for films and there are people who do. I am sure that everyone has their reason why they are casting who for which role and I don't interfere with that. I see what role is being given to me and for me working with a superstar is good and that you will get a certain amount of visibility and there will be a certain amount of attention attached to it as well," she said.
"I have really had fun working with him and for my first film there was an age gap and they wanted to play the whole thing. This movie there was no pairing. And it is also fine and I don't see it as something atrocious or something which shouldn't have been there," she told the channel.
But later Manushi also said that hope she gets to romance younger heroes as well.
"I hope I get to romance younger heroes as well and vice-versa also it happens," she said.
On being asked if the rumours of her being approached for 'Animal' were true, she replied that she wasn't approached and that if she was cast in the Sandeep Reddy Vanga movie then she would have loved to do Rashmika Mandanna's role.
"I loved Rashmika's character. In this entire fight, she stood her ground and she held him accountable. Her character had an arch. That's a role I would love to have," she said.
Later, she also revealed the real reason why she couldn't do Preeti's role in the hit 'Kabir Singh' opposite Shahid Kapoor.
"I will semi agree with this and I came to know about it a little later. As I was Miss World I had a contract, I couldn't do it," she concluded.
Preeti's role was played by actress Kiara Advani.
