Akshay Kumar is set to host the Indian version of Wheel of Fortune, which will debut on Sony TV. The actor has recently sent his fans into a frenzy with the latest promotional video for the upcoming series.
The promo was shared on the official social media handle of Sony TV with the caption, “Ab matter karega har ek akshar, jab ghumega jaadu ka chakkar (Now each letter will pea, when the magic circle will spin) Wheel Of Fortune India, exclusively on #SonyEntertainmentTelevision and Sony.”
In the video, Akshay portrays a servant to an affluent household whose dad has recently passed away. As the final will and testament is being read, it becomes clear that Ramu, not Ram, his biological son, has been named as the beneficiary of all the riches and property. The flashback demonstrated Ramu's meticulous planning.
The actor is then seen wearing a pink shirt and sporting a huge diamond chain. He smiles and adds, “Shabdo ki jaadugari kar sakti he kaarigari (The way we use words can transform our lives)!”
Further details of the Indian version of Wheel of Fortune are yet to be unveiled.

While most of the details have been kept under wraps, Haiwaan is said to be a remake of the 2016 Malayalam movie Oppam, which starred Mohanlal in the lead.
Haiwaan is speculated to hit the theatres in 2026.
