Khushi Kapoor opens up about dealing with pressure as a public figure, reveals having self-esteem issues

Khushi Kapoor shared that while her life has always been in the spotlight, she believes some aspects should remain private. She admitted that constant public attention brings immense pressure.

Actress Khushi Kapoor, daughter of producer Boney Kapoor and late actress Sridevi recently shared about how despite her life always being in limelight, certain things are meant to be private.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Khushi Kapoor revealed recently that huge pressure comes accompanies public attention.

The Naadaniyan actress said, “Being in the public eye definitely comes with its pressures, especially when it comes to balancing openness with privacy. At the same time, I’m mindful about keeping certain things just for myself and the people closest to me."

She explained that establishing boundaries has been crucial for her peace of mind. According to her, it’s possible to remain authentic and genuine without revealing every aspect of one's life, and for her, it's about maintaining a balance that allows her to feel safe, grounded, and true to herself.

Khushi also talked about dealing with self-esteem issues throughout her life. "Growing up with self-esteem struggles, I’ve learned how powerful self-expression can be, and it gives the freedom to explore and celebrate one’s identity without conforming. (Also because) Fashion, to me, is a personal statement," Khushi further said.

The young actress also talked candidly about her experience in Bollywood, calling it a life-changing journey of self-discovery that enabled her to use her art to express who she really is. She also admitted that there have been difficulties along the way.

“The entertainment industry has fostered personal growth and self-discovery. It hasn’t always been smooth sailing, but I’ve learned to prioritise my personal journey, surround myself with a strong support system, and acknowledge that growth is gradual," the 24-year-old added.

Khushi was last seen in Netflix's Naadaniyan alongside Ibrahim Ali Khan. She was also seen in Loveyappa which released earlier in 2025, co-starring with Junaid Khan.
