On Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, Teacher Renuka Pattanshetty shares her admiration for Salman Khan and Big B.

The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 featured Renuka Pattanshetty, a passionate teacher from Solapur, Maharashtra, who had been aspiring to sit on the hot seat for 24 years.

As a primary school teacher, Renuka shared insights into her work, explaining how she teaches children from classes 1 to 4, following the "mother teacher" approach.

Host Amitabh Bachchan initiated the episode with the Rs. 20,000 question, asking about the Cumbarjua Canal that connects the Zuari and Mandovi rivers. Renuka confidently answered “Goa,” setting the pace for her journey.

As the game progressed, Renuka expressed her admiration for Bollywood superstar Salman Khan while tackling the Rs. 40,000 question about the actor’s films Chori Chori Chupke Chupke and Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega.

Declaring herself a diehard fan, she said, “Salman Khan mujhe bahut zyada pasand hai.” Amitabh Bachchan playfully teased her, remarking, “Awaaz pahuch gayi unke tak.” When Renuka mentioned that she admired both Big B and Salman Khan, the host joked that it wasn’t necessary to mention his name just because he was present.

Renuka clarified her sentiments with a smile, saying, “Aap pehle pasand hai sir, phir woh. Salman ji se milna abhi tak nahi hua. Aap unke dost hain, shayad aap ke wajah se woh sapna bhi pura ho jaaye.”

Amused, Bachchan assured her that he would pass on her message to Salman. Renuka humorously revealed that while she watches KBC Monday through Friday at 9 PM, Salman dominates her weekends.

In her gameplay, Renuka utilized the Audience Poll lifeline to answer a question about India’s tallest monuments, correctly identifying Qutub Minar.

She also shared a creative teaching technique, using songs to help children memorize multiplication tables. Big B reminisced about his childhood, joking that such methods would have saved him from early-morning lessons with his father, who insisted on reciting tables during walks.

Later, Renuka impressed with her knowledge of numerology, connecting Amitabh Bachchan’s life and career to the qualities of Number 2.

She humorously praised him with references to his iconic movie dialogues, prompting the host to joke, “Salman Khan ka kya hoga? Double standards nahi chalega, madam,” eliciting laughter from the audience.

Renuka’s journey continued as she answered questions up to Rs. 12,50,000, using lifelines like Video Call A Friend and Audience Poll to tackle tough questions. For the Rs. 25,00,000 question about the Munshi-Ayyangar formula and the Constituent Assembly, she decided to quit after thoughtful deliberation. Her guess—Hindi as the official language—turned out to be correct.

Renuka left the show with Rs. 12,50,000, expressing her joy and gratitude. She cherished not only her winnings but also the memories of meeting Amitabh Bachchan, calling his signature on the cheque the most valuable part. Big B wrapped up the episode with his characteristic wit, leaving the audience entertained and inspired by Renuka’s story.
